St. Ignatius University Kabale second year in the making!
Uganda has had an increase in communicable diseases which causes everyone to be more cautious. Unfortunately, I have returned to the USA for health reasons but I am still contributing to the accreditation process, sustainable development, and program structure overviews remotely.
One of my responsibilities was to lead the establishment of the Education Department. The program curriculums for Bachelor of Arts and Science in Primary Education and the Diploma of Primary Education were submitted in September to the National Council of Higher Education. The approval process for program accreditation takes months which requires several content areas to review the submitted document. Primary Education did not require a site visit but Secondary Education will require such an inspection of the facilities to ensure all lab and facilities requirements are met. It is a goal to complete the Secondary Education program curriculums in order to submit all of them to NCHE by April.
I am pleased to say that the accreditation approval letter for the Primary Education programs was received by the university and is attached.
Congratulations to all the content writers that assisted in making this a successful achievement for the university.
